1902
Andrássy Géza introduced golf in Budapest at a horse racecourse.
1908
First golf course was founded in Tátralomnic, designed by Lauber Dezső. The first competition was held in 1909.
1910
Golf Club of Budapest was founded. Later it became Hungarian Golf Club.
1920
The first talented woman player in Hungary, Hevesi Erzsébet, started playing golf. In golf history she is known by the name of Szlávy Béláné.
1924
Szlávy Béláné won the Hungarian golf competition, and later on 18 times more.
1926
Szlávy Béláné won the German golf competition and the next day German Pless-cup. The same year she was elected as the best woman golf player in Europe, and the fifth in the world.
1936
On the occasion of 25th anniversary of Hungarian Golf Club they organized a competition. Also the worlds best golf player, Bobby Jones, participated. After the competition he congratulated Szlávy Béláné for the perfect game.
1952
For political reasons golf became unwanted sport. The reorganization of golf life was started in the 70's.
1989
Hungarian Golf Accosiation was founded.
2004
Old Lake Golf & Country Club organized the first professional women golf competition, OTP Bank Ladies Central European Open. The Club got permission to organize the same competition for two more years.
